artist resume & portfolio

I'm drawn to mosaic because of the solidity of the materials  and the ability to explore color, textures, and the play of light.  My work is often  inspired by nature and landscape. I also quilted for many years, and continue to be drawn to geometric patterns.  

I work with a variety of materials, including vitreous glass, Italian smalti, Mexican smalti, stained glass, beads, and found objects.

A collection of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. I have started working in oils, and my most recent work includes local landscapes.

A collection of bold decorative pieces for exterior use, painted with exterior latex paint. I cut and built each piece from wood such as pine and birch plywood. (Thanks, Dad, for teaching me how to use woodworking tools!)

Fused glass is another medium with which to play with color!
